Japan's first live streaming studio "DOMMUNE" was launched in 2010 by Naohiro Ukawa as a base for transmitting new culture with a view to the era of social streams after "Mixrooffice", which has now become a global legend.

Since its launch, various guests from all over the world have appeared every time they come to Japan, and the program has been distributed over the past nine years to date, about 4,000 programs / about 7,000 hours / 150 tera, with a total audience of over 100 million. It also influenced the London-based music channel "BOILER ROOM", and the Japan branch of "BOILER ROOM TOKYO" is also in charge of "DOMMUNE".

With the 10th anniversary of its opening as the second chapter, we launched SUPER DOMMUNE, an evolutionary form of the final media "DOMMUNE" in November 2020 at the creative studio on the 9th floor of Shibuya PARCO, with a view to the future together with the latest avant-garde technology.

Currently, "SUPER DOMMUNE" is closing the venue to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, and we continue to explore and disseminate what we can do for the continuation and development of the culture without eliminating the risk of outbreaks, such as live streaming without audiences.

“#SaveOurSpace”—Signing project for the closure of cultural facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection has been launched.

The founders include DJ NOBU, Yu Suganami (Live Haus), Mill Shinoda, Lark Chillout, Mars89, and supporters include GEZAN, COMPUMA, UNDERCOVER, and Naohiro Ukawa (DOMMUNE).

Initially, the goal was to collect 100,000 signatures, but as of March 31, more than 300,000 signatures were gathered and held an online press conference at SUPER DOMMUNE on the same day. We distributed backgrounds, clubs, live houses, theaters, artists' current status, demands from the government, and introductions of supporters.

In March, white snow overlaps with cherry blossoms.

The words written by Mahituza Piepo (GEZAN) on SNS made my heart warm.

"I want to do something, but I don't know what I can do, and I don't know how to use that power."
Those people should share ideas.
If you don't like my thing, you may have another one. We do not force ourselves to become one, but make a lot of rightness exist, and overcome this storm with solidarity based on the premise of individuals.

Next year, I will definitely see the flowers."

GEZAN's 5th ALBUM "KLUE" release party was held at "SUPER DOMMUNE" before closing. A photo of photographer Komitsu Yokosuka and a collaboration LIVE with Dub Engineer Naoyuki Uchida, who was in charge of REC. The DJ featured COMPUMA, UNDERCOVER, and MARS89, who released 12 inch from UNDERCOVER RECORDS.

Looking at the remnants of that day, I hope for a kind time that will make our hearts alive.

Until the day when you can meet the sound at the venue.

Is culture and art useful? Do you need it? Isn't it a waste? Recently, I often see such discussions on the Internet. Culture and art are useful because all music, literature and movies have been saved in this isolation life and have been saved many times before! I need it! It's not a waste! I want to raise my voice. But in the first place, that question is irrelevant. The poor mind, which can only be judged by whether it is useful or not, is not even aware of its uselessness. First of all, what are humans useful? Can I freeze my nails? Aside from jokes, the very consciousness that something has to be useful is a curse, and culture and art are also beings that free themselves from that curse.
It is no exaggeration to say that the act of measuring human value with its "usefulness" or giving a "priority" to a person is a denial of the dignity of mankind, and that the act of protecting culture and art is an act of protecting human dignity. From now on, it will be a long and tough battle on how much sanity you can keep. However, as more than 300,000 signatures have shown, they are never alone. The group of rhinoceros continues to walk toward a time like a dense soul festival cut out in this photo.

The world is now confused. In Japan, there is also a possibility of blocking the Tokyo metropolitan area. Isn’t it an important moment now? To… We, Shibuya PARCO 9F Creative Studio DOMMUNE, is a daily life log media, so the social situation itself is reflected in the program in Tyrect, and even in Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, we streamed according to the trends of the world. Therefore, in such a situation, we take the spread of infection in COVID-19 seriously, and we are canceling distribution at a very early stage or conducting meaningful non-spectator distribution.

The GEZAN live in this photo was on January 29, when the floor was still filled with enthusiasm, and the body was in close contact through sound and enjoying freedom. From the present day, when the three secrets (closed, dense, close) are prohibited to deal with the COVID-19 infection, these vivid photographs capture the feeling of watching the primitive rituals of the electronic tribe that existed before. In addition, despite the scenery of PARCO 9F that I go to today, I feel like a remote area somewhere, and I am fascinated by mysterious nostalgia. Has the sense of solidarity that was born here now been scattered? What kind of solidarity can we have now? Now that governments have been ordered to nest and entered the world-wide meditation period (not straying), how can we capture the world vision after the post-pandemic (postpan)?

I feel that the future depends on that positive imagination.
