The manga "AKIRA" set in "Neo-Tokyo" in 2019, just before the Tokyo Olympics are held. In May 2017, a project to utilize the temporary enclosure of the new Shibuya PARCO, which is currently closed, as the “Art Wall” began.
The visual art of "AKIRA" by Kosuke Kawamura, who has collaborated with world-famous manga artist/film director Katsuhiro Otomo in the past, is appearing on a scale of 50 meters. Including those currently posted, we plan to release the third installment of Shibuya PARCO before the opening of the new Shibuya PARCO in the fall of 2019.
In addition, the challenging work that collages the "destructive" scene in the work received the "2018 Good Design Award" and has been highly valued both in Japan and overseas.
